Version Control and Build Management for ERP applications?

Is it possible to bring ERP applications like SAP, Oracle Apps, Siebel, Peoplesoft under Configuration Management? Most of the ERP applications are deployed by installing & configuring. Is it possible to apply Version Control and Build Management concepts for ERP applications? Is there a common version control tool which could support incremental delta storage of changes made in ERP applications?
